Can transport wheelchair users; wheelchairs are put in the trunk
or buses with wheelchair lift are available
Fare is determined by the agency; there is no meter fare. Cost is estimated over the phone
based on the trip; the agency claims rates are cheaper than the regular taxi cab services
(usually $10 or more each way)

Transportation services to people with developmental disabilities living in Platte County
Rides are provided to day programs, work, medical appointments, and scheduled
recreational activities*
Vans are wheelchair accessible
Services are free for eligible clients

Office hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
For community-living clients services are available in the mornings and evenings; for
agency residents, the hours are flexible.
Reservation is encouraged as soon as possible by calling the agency to set up the day
and time.
USER REGISTRATION PROCESS
Clients should be referred by the KC regional center or should fill out an agency application form
Eligibility requirements include having mental retardation or other developmental disability
Paperwork may take up to a week

* Recreational activities are scheduled by agency case managers.
These are usually group trips, where the clients are dropped off at a specific location on specific days and times.
